# Description
Participants identify a societal issue, collect or compile data from various sources about the issue, and then produce documentation and a digital scientific poster about their findings. Semifinalists create a synopsis and digital visual representation of a data set provided in an onsite challenge.
# Theme 2026-2027
Theme: Identify and use an AI-generated dataset related to Climate and Environmental Sustainability for analysis and research. Competitors may use an artificial intelligence tool to create the dataset, provide the resulting data file in a structured format (such as CSV, XLSX, or JSON), and cite the artificial intelligence tool, model (if available), and prompts or queries used to generate the dataset.

Entries are limited to three (3) teams of two (2) individuals per chapter; individual entries are permitted.

The documentation portfolio and scientific poster components of the entry must be finished, submitted, and accessible via the internet by March 26, 2027.
