OKTSA Day with the Blue!

OKTSA Day with the Blue is an inaugural statewide experience designed to connect students with STEM, innovation, and real-world career pathways—all in a high-energy environment inspired by professional sports.

The OKTSA Day with the Blue event runs from 12:00 PM–2:45 PM and features engaging sessions with STEM industry professionals associated with the Oklahoma City Thunder, highlighting how engineering, technology, design, and problem-solving skills are used both on and off the court.

Students will have the opportunity to compete in the Free Throw Catapult Challenge, where teams bring pre-built catapults and put their designs to the test by launching basketballs toward a target hoop—combining physics, teamwork, and friendly competition.

Throughout the afternoon, students can visit with business, industry, and college vendors to explore career pathways, postsecondary options, and real-world STEM connections.

The day will conclude with a live basketball game at 7:00 PM, as the Oklahoma City Blue take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, providing an exciting finish to a day centered on STEM, leadership, and career exploration.
